On Saturday we had our baby shower! The hostesses did an AMAZING job with all the decorations and food. You guys went above and beyond what we ever expected. Johnny and I just want to say thank you SO much to everyone who blessed us by helping us welcome baby Levi into the world. We were blown away and humbled by all of the gifts and everyone who came to celebrate with us. We love each of you and you have all played a big part in our lives.
Here are some pics from the shower.

Johnny's mom gave us this outfit that was Johnny's when he was a little boy! I can't wait to get Levi's picture taken in it and then put it beside a picture of his daddy in the same outfit.

Our latest sono
Yesterday I had an appointment with the specialist again to check Levi's kidneys. A few months ago when they did the sono at my dr's office they saw fluid in his kidneys. Johnny and I went to see the perinatal specialist a couple months ago and he confirmed that there was fluid there, but he said he didn't think it was anything to worry about and told us to come back in a few weeks. Well yesterday when we went back to have another sono, he said that all the fluid was gone and that everything looks great! Praise the Lord!
After he finished looking at the kidneys, I asked him if he could check one more time just to make sure that it IS a boy! Johnny and I have heard too many stories of people being told they were having one thing, yet coming home from the hospital with the opposite sex! Since Levi's whole room is a lodge theme with hunting and fishing accents, we would have a lot of redecorating to do! haha. Anyways, the doc confirmed that it DEFINATELY is a boy and he gave us a close-up picture to prove it! I won't post the pic on here though because Levi might get embarrassed :-)
As he was finishing up the sonogram, the dr. informed me that Levi is already 6 lbs.! He is in the 66th percentile and is expected to be about 8 or 9 lbs. at birth! Any doubts I had about getting an epidural are definately out the window now. Only 6 more weeks to go!

Levi at 33 weeks (7 weeks to go!)
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

Levi at 32 weeks...
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Levi at 31 weeks...
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

10 more weeks of this??
Since there is nothing I can do about all the aches and pains of pregnancy for the next 10 weeks, I may as well laugh about it :-)

Levi at 30 weeks
According to babycenter.com:
[Levi's] about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
