registering!

On Saturday, Johnny and I finally braved Babies R Us for the first time.  We eagerly walked in amongst the throngs of pregnant women and were kindly greeted by the lady behind the registry desk who asked us some simple questions and then gave us "the gun".  We both just kind of stood there in awe for a few seconds, our eyes moving slowly from section to section taking it all in.  After we snapped out of our daze we saw the bottle section.  I thought to myself, "Ok, we can do this, it's just a bottle right? How hard can that be?"  Well, apparently not as easy as one would think.  There were about 50 different brands of bottles and then within each brand there were about 100 different types. (Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a teeny bit but it may of well have been).  After about 30 minutes of deliberation we finally chose a few different types that looked good.  About 3 1/2 hours later we had scanned pretty much everything in the store and had become acquainted with everything from bottles to breast pumps.  It's hard to believe that a little 7-8 pound baby could need so much "equipment."  As we went down each aisle scanning item after item, I began to think about how different our life is going to be after Levi is born.  Our house will be filled with playpens, toys and bottles and the sounds of a crying newborn.  As scary as this may be starting this new adventure, I can't wait to see his sweet little face and hold him in my arms for the first time.  I think he is going to look like his daddy...
